Occidental Students Lead Enrichment Sessions
Five intrepid young Occidental College students are leading communication and life-skills sessions for the alumni. The young women are students in Adjunct Professor Desiree Zamorano’s Tutoring and Guided Learning class. Following a presentation by several IOW alumni, the students agreed to lead enrichment sessions on self-reflection, meditation and goal-setting.
Leah Wolf, one of the student-teachers, shared that “working with the IOW Alumni Program has been one of the best experiences of my college career. I love leading enrichment sessions, and look forward to each of the Thursdays I get to spend with the alumni. Seeing their creativity, strength and determination amazes and inspires me, and I am so appreciative of the personal relationships I have had the opportunity to foster.”
IOW appreciates the support of the Oxy students and faculty and looks forward to developing additional programming!
